Council for Leadership Among Young adults It takes people to make young adult ministry happen! Below you will find various teams as well as the ministry leadership council which are responsible for making this ministry and its various programs work. Please consider joining one or more of these teams, I guarantee you will have fun. Each team begins with a brainstorming meeting, where we work to define specific tasks for that program. Follow-up will take place at an agreed upon meeting, or via phone calls and e-mails. Come when you can, and share what you wish. You are most welcome to come to the initial brainstorming meeting, and see if that project best fits what you want to do. Contact us at 371-8289 or barrosbailey@msn.com CLAY Parish Representatives Members of the CLAY Team are responsible for helping the Director make the overall ministry happen. We typically will meet once a month with a short planning retreat in the Fall. We desire at least one single and one married young adult from each of the participating parishes; but, if a couple wants to be involved, we will certainly welcome the extra assistance. If you would like to be a leader for your parish on this team, let us know. Spirit and Truth Team Spiritual
Director: Fr. Hugh Feiss. OSB Do you love the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and the close fellowship of those with an intense desire for prayer and praise? Would you like to be intimately involved in providing liturgical, music, or background support for this ministry? This group will provide interested volunteers the chance to bond with a community whose strength of conviction for the power of Christ's real presence in the Eucharist will provide a strong bond of Catholic fellowship. TV Catholic Sports Team Be part of a parish or ministry is like being part of a sports team, everyone brings individual talents as well as weaknesses to the team. In Jesus, we all Win!, if you would like to help this ministry coordinate sporting events or teams within city leagues, then Treasure Valley Catholic Sports needs you. Team members will help plan and implement ministry only events like Bowling for Disciples, Spiritual Snowshoeing and Rafting down the Jordan. Bowling for
Disciples Coordinator TGIFF Mass Team Celebrant: Our Mass is the most beautiful and mysterious part of being Catholic. If you have a love of liturgy and would like to help organize and implement an innovative, reverent and community focused celebration of our faith for young adults, then this is the team for you. If your interest or talent is in music, food, program, or liturgical organization, please become part of your First Friday team. "What Now!" Newly Married Facilitation Team Coordinator
Couple: Mr. David and Ms. Lori Hopkins This Ministry needs several catholic married couples, married at least 5 years and preferably between 23 and 35 years of age to help facilitate, on a rotating basis, monthly meetings. Being open about the joys and challenges of your own marriage and an example of a faith filled and sacramental marriage are important to providing valuable facilitation to younger couples participating in the ministry. If you are interested in helping other young catholic couples be successful in their marriage, please give this ministry serious consideration. A Young Adult Retreat Team Retreats, while fun, engaging, and spiritually rewarding, are a lot of work and require a group of dedicated people to make them successful. If you are interested in a once-a-year commitment that brings you a large amount of satisfaction and requires your full attention (for a short period of time!), then become part of our retreat team, you will be rewarded through the smiling and satisfied faces of retreat participants thanking you for making their weekend an awesome experience.
