Spirit & Truth
is a time for young adults to come before God with their worries, troubles, sins
and questions, in the company of like-minded people in search of the truth. Because of the intense prayer that occurs at a
Spirit & Truth meeting, many people feel very clear and peaceful upon departing.
It resembles a mini-retreat. Young adult life can
also be a lonely time for many. Spirit & Truth becomes a very consoling place
for those who desire to be in the company of others who are also in similar
places in their lives. Rather than provide merely social events, this initiative
offers young adults (18-40 or the young at heart) the opportunity to go deep in
their relationship with God while forming relationships that are rooted in more
than good food and drink. The young adults who attend Spirit & Truth will
undoubtedly find peace in Christ, bonded friendships, the truths of our faith
and life in the Holy Spirit.
Spirit and Truth will meet twice
a month for two hours on specific Tuesdays of each month; the meeting schedule will be as
follows:
6:30-6:45 - Opening Question
6:45-7:15 - Scripture, Traditions or Church Doctrine
7:15-7:45 - Adoration w/ Contemplative Prayer or Music
8:00-8:30 - Discussion and Blessing
8:30-9:30- Social Hour at local Restaurant (Optional)
